Con Kennedy was interviewed by presenter Alex Gibson on the The Persuaders weekly marketing and media programme on Dublin City FM.
Representing the Institute of Designers in Ireland, Con, along with fellow council member Barry Sheehan discussed many issues relating to design in Ireland, Dublin's potential bid to become Wold Design Capital and new initiatives introduced recently by the Institute of Designers in Ireland.

Con Kennedy attended the inaugural Service Design Thinks Dublin talk in the Cultivate Building on Smock Alley.
Speakers included Toby Scott, of Pentacle, Jim Dunne, cofounder of Design Twentyfirst Century and Keith Finglas of Innovation Delivery.
The presentations were on the role of service design in enterprise, social innovation and education. It was also a opportunity to network with like minded people, have a chat and share experiences.

Design Is My Thing is an independent project dedicated to promoting the role of design in business and social enterprise and is coordinated by Jason Stevens, a design engineer and member of AIGA Boston.
Their first project "Small Talk" is a series interviews comprising of 3 or 4 Questions to leading 150 designers in their field. Con Kennedy was interviewed as part of this international collaborative project. Con's interview (no. 67) a can be read here>>

Two new identities for sister companies.
Adforce is a new platform for mobile advertisers and provide advice and solutions to help publishers and brands optimise opportunities in mobile advertising.
The identity reflects the move to the "m." (M-Dot) platform for mobile publishing and mobile websites optimised for hand held devices.
Digital Reach produce content for mobile and hand held devices and recently launched the very successful RTE News iPhone App which is available free to download on iTunes or via Apple's App Store.
This identity was developed to reflect the tactile feel of an App interface and this is communicated through the use of interacting tablet shapes, reflecting the established icon shape of the App itself.

We were recently commissioned by the Exhibit Design Group to develop a branding manual for the Applegreen Service Station group.
The manual was prepared as part of a submission document to the National Roads Authority and included solutions for brand extension to the existing Applegreen identity, design and development of wayfinding systems and design of interior and exterior signage for use in 3 news services stations in Lusk, Enfield and Dundalk.

Con Kennedy was invited to give a lecture to students in Dublin Institute of Technology studying Masters Degree in Public Relations.
The lecture was on the design process and the strategic use of design. Students were brought though the design process with the emphasis on design as a business tool for clients. Other items discussed was the importance of clear communication and how a good deign brief are crucial to the success of any solution.

We have just rebranded Technical Engineering Group in conjunction with AMAS.
A master brand was developed for the Group identity with two sub-brands for the Pharma and Aviation divisions.
We also developed the User Interface for their new website which was built by Beecher Networks using the Wordpress content management system

Just launched is the new website for Focal Media. The clients core business service is providing advertising space though the use of in-bar displays. Part of our design brief was to provide the client with an effective on-line solution to manage and co-ordinate the placement of these advertisements, but also provide the client with a scalable online presence.
