The brand identity for the National Development Plan was produced to reflect both Irish heritage and modern Ireland. The identity utilises the recognised motif of the harp, but this particular harp is modern dynamic and moves away from the traditional concept of the Irish Harp.
As the NDP is an Irish Government initiative, a series of Irish and English versions of the identity were produced. To ensure a consistent and effective use of the National Development Plan brand identity a comprehensive brand guidelines was produced which covered diverse usage such as literature, signage and European Union co-branding.
